Strait Talk: It's Taiwan, not China...
Tales from Formosa, The Beautiful Island

By Stephen A. Nelson

These published stories reflect what I have learned during my times in Asia.

They deal with issues I have covered for the Taipei Times, Radio Taiwan International, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. (CBC), Asia Times Online, etc.

Issues such as:
What is Formosa?
Is Taiwan a part of China?
Who are the KMT (Kuomintang, Chinese Nationalist Party) and why should I care?
Where can I get a good cup of coffee?
